Corporate sponsorships are available for the David Baker Legacy project. Judy C. Faust, producer of the project, wrote, "David
Baker was my friend and mentor when I lived in New Hampshire as a young
artist in the 1970s-1990. I founded my new career as a filmmaker with
my business, What’s Your Story, producing
documentaries and videos for individuals, families, and businesses. I
wanted David’s life and art to be forever remembered and decided to not
only to produce a documentary about him but to create other tribute
events and invite others to be a part of this
project. At this point, more than a hundred people are involved as
interviewees and volunteers, and as private sponsors. Now we're making opportunities available for corporations to become involved."
The documentary, See What's Whispered: The Legacy of Artist David C. Baker,
will
premiere in North Conway in September 2012, (venue will be announced
soon). It will feature the fifty years of David’s career as an artist,
vintage footage of the White Mountains, video clips of the artist,
and over thirty interviews of people who share the ways in which
David's art and poetry affected their lives. Music is composed by Dick
Tilton, a former resident of the Valley who is a friend of the Baker
family. The finished documentary will tour art museums,
galleries, New Hampshire history centers, schools, colleges, movie
theaters, retirement communities, and will available for sale.
In addition to the documentary screening next September, there will be a special poetry evening and art exhibit at Conway Public Library, a private screening for patrons in Jackson, a sale of David’s art and works of those influenced by him, at the Mount Washington Valley Arts Center in North Conway.
Each of these events offers an
opportunity for publicity via listings and logos printed in programs and
on 11” x 17” posters that will go up next summer in the North Conway
area and beyond, as well as on our blog, Website,
Facebook, and Twitter presences. To learn about sponsorship levels, please call Judy Faust at 978-212-2345, or email whatsyourstory2@verizon.net for more information. Information on private and corporate sponsorships will also be posted at www.bakerlegacy.com.
